I would agree with that too. But, there may be times when you really don't have timme to do anything about it.
This is very true!
And there are other resources of yours besides time
that you might not have enough of,
or the right kind of,
to deal with that particular problem
in the particular way that it seems "someone" ought to
at that particular time.

I'm so tired right now I won't be eloquent, but it's
absolutely wonderful (it may seem be fair sometimes, but we have to learn to get over that stuff...)

Yes, I have my excuses...but I think I do right by the world as often as wrong, if not perhaps a little more right. A little more.

Btw, it didn't occur to me to respond to this before.
I don't know anything about finding a balance of "good things done" versus "wrong things done."
Personal experiences of the last week or two make me think: "that way lies madness."
But I happen to suspect that most of the good you will do is ahead of you.
Sorry, I was so excited about having been called an intellectual sadist, I didn't think about your other post content.
I took "intellectual sadist" as a compliment.

I think the world is a good place. The world is what you make of it by either ignoring certain things or taking advantage of certain things. The folks of the Land took advantage of stone and wood and their various gifts, but ignored any cultural advancement or technical inventions for eons, but have some sort of magical pact with the Land. We take advantage of things in our world: commercialism, inventions, resources, etc and make flying machines, the internet data warehouse and go to the moon in one life-time; not magical to us, but perhaps to the uninitiated. I recall in (I think) TIW Lord Mhoram not liking TC's word of a nice view of the countryside in our world as "Scenery", but can you imagine what he'd think of a view of a modern skyscrapper filled city from afar? I think he'd be awestruck. Maybe we are doing more inventiveness in our world because we have to in order to turn more bad things here into good. But I also suppose each world is different enough that each thinks the other world is "wonderous".

If I was going strictly by my own experience, I would say the same thing: the world has lots of good and is tainted by corruption. But since things seem to begin good and end badly for the most part, I would have to say that good was its original condition.

Of course it's a good place! It's the only place we have and where we evolved! The whole universe is a good place. Go universe! *does a little cheering dance*
