found a computer in the hospital. :)

3/4ths of her left kidney was blocked by the stone. but it was soft so they got it all out.

and then even though they were warned and took all precaution, she had trouble waking up an dbreathing on her own. and this was with the minimum of knock out drugs.

so she stayed in recovery a good five hours.

she has had loads of troble breathing and is still on the oxygen with breathing treatments.

massive infection in the kidney, two different antibiotics for that.

lung x-ray proved clear.

is taking liquids but very little food.

she is asleep right now. now idea when they are releasing her. if not today i will be returning home for a few hours to take care of the dog.

thanks to everyone for well wishes, prayers and vibes - will update when i can.

thank you jenn and luci. :)

Update time. Julie is still having mobility, pain and fatigue problems but it looks like she will be well enough to go home tomorrow. Sarge is currently alternating between reading and watching her sleep. He is a good man.

Good news, that Julie is going home soon. Recuperation is best done at home. Yes, Sarge is a good man.

first thank you to everyone who has posted. but biggest shout outs go to Luci and Jenn. both ladies talked with me on the phone.

we are home - julie is still in a lot of pain and her meds knock her right out.
she isn't used to takinga lot of drugs and certainly not mixing them.

she hates morphine now as it made her vomit several times.

i have until saturday to stay with her - then i simply have to get back to work. looks like we lost one of our c/o's. but my captain has been amazingly cool. touched me...

as you may have noticed i have rentered Mallory's. tremble people - i have time now. :)

i finished Day by Day Armageddon by J.L. Bourne (the first two in the series) and the Steven Adler biography. I am half way through the latest Stephen King (63)

well getting her to eat is proving a task.

she combined her pain pill and anti-anxiety pill her first day home. she became a zombie - so i have hidden the meds from her.

Look at the bright side - knowing how to create zombies could be useful at some point.
