Nay, nay, I am not much of a riddler, but if you are willing I would very much enjoy attempting another of yours. You seem to take great pleasure in it!

That's funny. I always thought I suck at this kind of game (on both sides). OK, lets see what I can come up with.
I am forever sought, I am forever lost. Imitations fail to equal me though imitations without end are found among you. Are you a fool to seek me or a lucky fool?

Nope.
(Edit to add - what would be the imitation of happiness? Drugs? Clownish faces?)

Well I'll give you, you'll be a lucky fool to have gold, but would you be a lucky fool to
seek gold?

I thought of the delusion of happiness- the lull into sleep sort of lifestyle.

I thought the riddle was answered already. Are other answers being accepted? Why do I feel that between oblique mathematical conundrums and impenetrable randomness of sgt null, I feel like the only person who's not getting the joke?

Sorry, I was having a blond day. Somehow I missed the new riddle. Not that I have much of a chance anyway.
Paradise?

No. Not love and not paradise.
Maybe I should drop a new hint. Hmmm...
I am 5-lettered.

No, actually it's not pizza.
Second hint - it's the answer to the first part of a famous ancient riddle.
