I took the Black Star instead. I can get other souls easily enough, but human souls are worth more.
Trying to think how many Daedric artifacts I have.
- Mace of Molag Bal
- Spellbreaker
- Sanguine Rose
- Skull of whatsit
- Wabberjack
- That cannibal ring
- The big sword from the whispering door
- Ring of Hircine
- Hide from Hircine
- Ebony Mail
- Black Star
- I have the last piece of Mehrune's Razor, just need to turn it in (and kill the guy I give it to, or I'll lose it).
- Masque of Clavicus Vile
I'm sure there are more I've forgotten.
Edit: Looked it up.
- Dawnbreaker
There's another I'm already on the quest for, and I know where the last one that counts to the achievement is now. I'll get the achievement one early, though, because I got both of Hircine's rewards.
Congratulations, Murrin! I have the Sanguine Rose (which I use A LOT!) but just knowing there IS a black star is great news, as I agree...we kill a LOT of humanoids but don't get to recharge anything with them. Until now....
I also have Wabberjack and am in the process of getting the Mace...
I have two small kids who can't handle the violence, so most of my playtime is late at night.
My son just lost everything. EVERYTHING. I was playing, and letting my daughter walk the trails. I went to take a shower, and told him to do whatever he wanted when she got killed. She got killed by an assassin a few minutes later. So he went to load his own. But he accidentally went to Save instead of Load, chose his save point, and saved mine onto his instead of loading his. Yeah, he's a little blue today. Can't imagine how many hours he'd put into it. We'll see if he ever plays it again, but it certainly won't be soon.

Re: The Daedric artifacts, the'yre not that hard to obtain. The only real problem is that on a lot of them you need to know whether or not to kill certain people. Sometimes you're told to kill someone and should say no, most of the time you're asked to do it and should say yes, even if it means your character is kind of an evil bastard.
Yeah, the morality sometimes eludes me. But that's ok.
I didn't know you could only have Azura'a OR the Black Star. But then, I don't know much of anything. Getting there, though. I'm level 7 now. Just brought back some stolen books, and the troll-librarian gave me some good ones to read.
I've been telling my son he should go up to a higher level of difficulty since you made me realize he wasn't at the highest. I just assumed he was. Now I'm telling him to start again at a higher level. It wasn't a challenge anyway. He says he's not gonna play again anyway. Can't blame him for being upset. He was 48th level, so it must've taken a good deal of effort.

I'm still level 47 myself. The levelling gets much slower past 40 or so. But levels, for the most part, don't mean that much, since most content is scaled.
Is the console part out of question even? I mean it can be used not to give everything and stop playng, I mean restoring what was there by memory, at least the level.
o_O Didn't know anyone could not know, it's a built-in tool that allows to enter pieces of code, altering the character, the envronment etc.
A lot of information here, though hard to find something specific www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Console I can tell you how to do something, if it's hard to find there. For instance, to set your level to 48 you have to open the console with "~" key, type "player.setlevel 48" and press enter. Closed the same way.
Uh, does the Xbox version have a console? Pretty sure Fist is playing that. (Uh, no...pc version only.)
Anyway, got it on Saturday. Probably dangerous. Having a lot of fun, not doing much. Level 15, but no idea what stars (some sort of soul gem?) or artefacts you're talking about. Haven't done much in the way of quests...am at the monastery getting trained in the voice right now.
Found a throwing knife mod I want to try...basically playing an illusion/sneak/archery/single-handed game.
I thought it was a PC one, why play on Xbox if you have a PC? I belieму I saw some tricky ways for that to work on Xbox, but that's likely not to be easy, even if it works at all.
Hm, probably a mod could be made to set levels without the console.
Then either google and try to sort out how it's done on Xbox, or make a mod, they should definitely work on Xbox, but I guess it's not possible to make them, I'll try to look into how it may be done, thought not sure.
