Hmmmm... Lord Foul is wishing me luck. Is this perhaps a snare? What happens if I do try to make a few thousand posts? What happens if I refuse to post at all?! But even if it is a snare, it boots nothing to avoid his snares, for they are ever beset with other snares. Ugh! I feel so helpless!!!

Then you feel just like a character from an SRD's book  Isn't it wonderful to have me around?

That's a protein.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SNARE

I make pretty creatures with it, some Illearth Stone helps as well.

Hello Lord Foul.
I believe You know my husband.

Greetings, Fangthane! I find it fitting that you reside in the "real" world. I have sensed your influence in the actions of politicians and their lobbyists in that place of madness. But I fear thee not, insidious Render, for you cannot corrupt me. Here on the plains of Ra, we only involve ourselves in "grass-roots" movements. ;)

Aye, and those "grass-roots movements" predominantly consist of fertilizer the Ranyhyn provide for the turf.

Which aptly explains why we usually don't engage in mudslinging campaigns here. Just gets too unpleasant too quickly. But that doesn't take away from the fun, as all our elections turn out to be horse races in the end. One's best bet is to run as a "dark horse candidate", of course.

Hahaha, does this mean we can expect you in the 'Tank at some point? ;)

Very likely, Avatar. I discuss politics on many other areas of the internet, so I might as well do it in the Think Tank as well. But, for now, I'm enjoying the Watch as a rather unique place in cyberspace to read/learn/discuss SRD and his works, and will probably be sticking with that for now. But, at some point in the future, I'll be gravitating to the 'Tank...I suppose it's inevitable for a political junkie like me who just can't mend his ways...*sigh*

Well, that and the fact that, (let's be honest), there is only so much one can say about the books. ;)

Luckily we have so much more to keep us amused.

True, but with all the topic threads that exist here just concerning the books, that's a lot to keep me interested for awhile, right there. I'm finding it refreshing to be at a place that discusses SRD primarily, and other fantasy writers as well. And so many other things. It's a great site :!!!:

Yes it is. :D Now go post all over it. ;)

Why, did you just find me similar to real life politicians? What an insult, how dare you compare me to those unsubtle, crude, shallow, obvious and plain card-carrying villains!

How about just being compared with those behind-the-scenes lobbyists pulling the strings, then? :borg:

Take it to the 'Tank. :D

Yes, please. The more the merrier.

(on a side note, that is a really odd saying. Although grammatically incorrect--there is no verb--you understand what it means. How weird.)

Thank you for the cordial invite, Hashi. As I told A., I'm sure I'll be getting there, eventually. It might feel a little uncomfortable to wade in there, at first. But, after all: "No pain, no gain." (Say, that's ANOTHER one!) ;)
