Frostheart wrote:Glad to see some activity here. I'll take a request list of some sort (Aliantha, giantesses, what else?), and anyone else willing to design something is welcome to it. However, due to back problems and my right arm being taped, I can't draw for hours on end right now. Any larger painting projects will have to wait till the tension pain's gone. As for "Land" backgrounds, didn't Blackhawk have quite a selection of 3D renders on his website? Perhaps something of that ilk, then? (Moreover, I *can* paint "neutral" landscapes when on the right mood, (f. ex. fav.me/d2pss13 ) and do have some unused ideas lurking in the recesses of inspiration.) Plus, I guess actual photos could be always used? Any landscape photographers around with a good eye?
I have a crapload of nature shots on my computer from my trips to Iceland and Poland in RAW format; maybe something Land-ish could be unearthed there (need to post examples)?

This shop's on Zazzle, cheaper than Cafepress, and with wider product selections. Figured how to make prints finally (either I'm just stupid or need the right prod :P). Their t-shirt design area's regrettably small, and, like with other products, appears that the graphics ought to roughly follow the widescreen format. Which restricts the usage of existing images up to some degree.

(I'll write more about this later.)
Frosty, I would love a cropped edition of any of your Giantess pictures, or other artwork you have already completed. Just shop in "Kevin's Watch" and you're good to go. Make it easy on yourself. :)

So Lorin were you interested in joining forces or do you prefer to setup your own place? :?:

Thanks! Hmm, are you maybe hinting that something like this would suffice? :P This is from the store's product builder. I dunno if the crop works as its best here.

Dug out some photos from my hd. If you're ready to accept that you've all this time read about PoLand or IceLand, then maybe something of this ilk? The occasional cars/houses are easy to shop away. AND obviously these'd need some post-processing to get rid of some noise, etc. Also with the programs I have, it might be fairly easy to achieve a painting-ish-look with a couple of filters or matte-ing.

This one even has a natural Kevin's Watch!

Now my back's saying no-no-no for today. Later.

That's fantastic. I'm not so much into pictures of fantasy characters (though I appreciate the art) since they never match with my imagination (and mugs with muscular guys on it might give me strange looks at work).

I really love this "Andelain" kind of a scene. It captures the spirit of TC well without overdoing it. Not sure about the slogan though - it was more of a joke. :p

Those pictures are beautiful, Frosty. I particularly like the 5th one (the one before the one with Kevin's Watch :D ).

I LOVE the mug, I would order one today!!! (except I'll have to wait till I'm in the States later in the year.)

You go, Frosty!!!

Right, so I'm leaving the waterfall design permanent (it was never fanart in the first place, but a background to something I later lost interest with). What should the slogan say instead, if anything? Kevin's Watch? Kevinswatch? Hellfire and bloody damnation? :)

Pins will be put behind the ear.

Vader would obviously appreciate a mug with a shirtless Seadreamer and Honninscrave. ;)

Joking aside, I'll see if cropping works for t-shirts in any visually appealing manner. Might have 1-2 suitable images ready for that. However, quite a few of my 3rd chrons Swordmain images were practice pieces I never considered worth printing and/or quite gory or just plain silly. Like the one with old Coldspray showing a couple of knocked-out teeth. :P [link] I got an idea the other day for a three-quarter view of The First brandishing her sword and adjoining a "Stone and Sea!" slogan (or something of that ilk). But that's something I'll have to design from scratch.

Yeah, well, I probably won't get any actual sales up during the very week in any case. Easy for US residents, but in my case you'll have to fill in and activate all kinds of extra stuff. :P

Frostheart - the last four pictures there exactly correspond to my minds eye view of the Land. Where are these places, are they for real or constructed photo's, how do you do that! Where can I see this with my own eyes?

Found some more controls in the clothing editor. Deer, here's one suggestion for a shirt. It has both front and back designs, without the back picture it would be cheaper, however. I can try cropping the image if it doesn't look good.

First three -- Landmannalaugar, Iceland. The waterfall's called Hjalparfoss, situated in Þjórsárdalur.

Sorry, not yet. Virtual window shopping. Like I said above, this stuff's easier for Americans, but I have to mail them some special tax information or whatever (and not even sure which boxes I should tick in this mess of legal jargon, which is why I'd appreciate some help from US folks in this). Also trying to reach Vain again, in case he might be around somewhere.

How do you pronounce the letter Þ??? :)

The t-shirt looks fantastic!! There's no rush on my account, like I said I will have to wait till summer to get anything. So probably just as I acquire a copy of AATE, I'll be able to read it sporting my t!!

I used Zazzle last fall to make some promotional schtuff for the books. Which means I already have an account. So we could file all the Watch stuff under mine, which would solve the tax issue.

Vain would have the same tax issue as you do, Frosty, so unless he's already got an account set up -- assuming he responds to you at all -- we might as well use mine.

It's called "Thorn". It's an interdental fricative, pronounced like the voiceless "th" in English. (i.e. think). The Old English equivalent is θ.

Ah, the dear old Thorn.

Here's a nice example:

Image

on the 2nd line ye meaning "the", and on the third line

yt [that] ye [the] said Thom[a]s and his heires shall........

The thorn became a "y" shape quite early on. The above is dated 1462.
