But it would weed out the stupid drivers; the drunken drivers; the old people who shouldn't be driving any longer; and on and on. Until only really good drivers remained. Yeah, a lot of collateral damage in the beginning, but what the hey.

Alas, it's looking like SkunkWorks' prediction is turning out to be a stinker.

Well...behind the 2017 date and not BIG news, but I haven't seen anything on this in a while, and it's something. Anyone that's been following this, the new info is a patent for part of the containment, the rest is review of previously released info.

I don't care if they are late or behind their original schedule; I still hope they can deliver on it. A small-scale fusion reactor could revolutionize the world.

I just WISH they were on time...faster the better...because it WILL change everything at some point. Could/Should before you and I die...[though literally hundreds of billionaires and entire countries will hate it and try to take over or destroy it. ...SAVE CHEAP CLEAN COAL!!!!...and some of those people have fucking nukes.]]

From what I've seen so far, these people and a couple others, make rare advancements---but important and practical ones. the toko-related groups/tech make many but basically meaningless and outrageously expensive incremental ones.

I live in Texas and I can tell you that there is no such thing as "clean" coal. Solar and wind are great, as is geothermal when you can get it (we can't use that form here--no hot spots), but fusion is the future.

Amen to those comments Hashi.

One of the very claims that Trump regularly spouts pissed me off ..

Clean Coal ... yeah right 🙄
