Alas, I have several events in and around that time frame that will prevent me from going...

Menolly and I will be there.

Depending on snow days affecting the length of the school year and when Dam-et can come home from University (after a year off due to leukemia), Dam-sel also wants to attend...or at least come to New Mexico and visit her girlhood home in Las Cruces, four hours to the south.

Thanks for the pictures, lorin...especially the one of Miss Grace, who took so many inspired shots of the 2011 Elohimfest.

Well said, Lord Damelon.

If any know the ways of surpassing mere "real life" and following the path of True Love and that of Elohimfest-attending Watchers (each path esteemed, but not necessarily identical), Julie and Sarge surely do. They will be there.

I have a Very Important Event too close to that time to permit me to attend, unfortunately.

made my plane reservations today. I am concluding the airlines have a real scam going. They post "last ticket at this price" so I rush to get it and when I go to pick my seat I am the ONLY person on the flight!!! All the seats are available. Bullcrap but.......I love jetblue so I have to forgive them.

I am coming in a few days early so I can explore the area south of Albuquerque (Rudisio?) and the fare was 1/2 the price on Tuesday instead of Thursday. After the fest going up to Santa fe, Ojo Caliente and Taos for 3 days. Wish I could stay longer but I'm paying more for a dog sitter than for the hotel.

Took the first necessary concrete step towards attending the Elohimfest yesterday; I renewed my passport (which was out-of-date since last summer).

Now all I need do is gather the rest of the cash, arrange the time off work and book the flights and accommodation!?

The squash is coming? Outstanding! :D

Looking into flights. I'll probably book in a week or so. Looks like flying in Wednesday and flying home Monday are going to be the least expensive options.

Lorin and Io, I'm in on the hotel with y'all. ;)

I got us a really nice place. Bring your bathing suit.

Anybody else - your best deal is the Staybridge near the airport. Being unemployed, I have time to do the research. I got a 2 bdrm apt with kitchen and pullout couch, breakfast for 126/night. (thats the rate if you pay up front non refundable.) 146 refundable.

Well, if anyone has some well-tested means of finding low airfare, I'd be very grateful if they could PM me with a how-to. I am not really a traveller.

It seems I am set for finding a hotel. :)
