Personally, I'm mostly able to shut out any intrusive noises in the world around me, especially if I'm busy doing something.

Other than that, I finally got a smart phone last year. Quite frankly its a double edged sword. The world is at your fingertips (for a price) but its addicting..... If I want to detach from it, I have to leave it in the car or at home or I find myself browsing the web and answering emails and texts. I am very close to a point where I'm just gonna go back to my flip phone. I used to laugh at people who were on their phones all the time.. "Now I are one"... LOL
