Wouldn't it be hysterical is some Gov't person [probably at the NSA] noticed this and got curious [or can't take a joke] and REALLY closed it down?

I went on the site from an email link for a pm so I didn't see the joke. It was business as usual. I thought you had all lost your mind until I tried to go in through the bookmark. I was too embarrassed to say I didn't get the joke since I have been fooled a few times.

Yeah, it's getting old, isn't April Fool's day over yet?
Seriously, can we have our regular forum back now?

Sheesh, relax.

you can have it back when Vain puts it right again. When? Your guess is as good as mine.

Where there's a different announcement and a link back here.

Oh, alright. I'll be patient.
I'll be at work tomorrow, anyway - not as much time to check the forum.

Yeah, I, for one, saw that. After I came here, saw the notice and got the joke, I went over there, for the heck of it, to see if anyone had posted.
Saw your post, Av, and almost made a smartass remark. But then I thought why spoil the joke for someone who hasn't gotten it yet?

Back to normal now

Great to see the old tradition was well received

Good gag! I was also momentarily convinced that this was all down to the ultra-seditious Tank and that Hashi as its current overlord had been spirited away to Gitmo-by-the-sea, where he was having various of his bodily extremities caringly attached to car batteries...
Any chance of links to previous April Fools?

Nice work this year, Vain and Av.
TheFallen wrote:Any chance of links to previous April Fools?
It's pretty easy to find them. Just do a search for "april fools" in the announcements forum, where all old april fools topics have been archived.
I still get a kick out of my fake Fatal Revenant trailer:

I sure was had, and truly bummed. Here I was, finally a member, in the middle of the reread leading up to TLD, and the site goes down. It never entered my mind what day it was. Shows what fun my life is.

Yes. You would be surprised what endearments attain actual usage.

Sadly, the best of them all, (the Terry Brooks Hack Team) is lost to posterity.
Still, Aprility Fools was pretty good. That one got me.

Heh, I only see 53, but they are all the same one...reminds me of something...I think it was "Mother of Storms"...digital "copies" unlimited...but when they try and merge back into "one,"...not so fun. [some other fictions too.]
