There's nothing wrong with one-sentence paragraphs.

I use them all the time.

HEE! I just noticed he quoted a post I made...and EDITED me into paragraphs!
Presumably, that means he has paragraphilia. I think that is illegal in some countries. It's surely immoral and unnatural.

Nay, nay! It's purely the classical attitude, I say! The Greeks were at it thousands of years ago, Old Boy!

I realised that after I'd posted them, and then thought it kinda fit with the topic. What I meant was, if you don't like unorthodox posting styles, vote Down!, and if they don't bother you (or you actually prefer them), vote Up!

That doesn't really help. Define "unorthodox."

I don't really care how people post as long as it's readable.

I tend to zone out if people don't have paragraph breaks at all - I can't focus on long walls of text.

I'd rather have single paragraph thoughts than too long paragraphs.

But if the overall post is too long, I often lose interest before I get to the end of the post, unless it's a topic I really REALLY want to read about.

Oh, and I didn't vote cause I still don't understand the poll options.

Basically, in the context of the Watch if you find Vraith or lurch's posting style annoying vote, 'Down!'. Otherwise vote 'Up!'

I don't think I have a feeling about it one way or another.

So I guess it's "couldn't give a fiddler" or whatever the heck you put for the third option. :P

Or if you don't feel strongly either way vote, 'Couldn't Give a Fiddler's!'

P.S. You're not usually this hard work, MsPam :? I'm beginning to think I preferred the less prolix, MsMary ;)

I voted down, but it was down with the lack of paragraphs, nothing to do with other styles. :D

Heh...you've mentioned katana before, so I was expecting something Japanese...but in fact, it has the same Chinese root as what I know [well...am coming to know] even the wiki on it describes the purpose of kata similarly.
Kanbun Uechi went to China to study under the masters in Fukien Province and it was there that he developed the style he called "pangainoon" under the watchful eye of Sushiwa. After teaching in China he returned to Okinawa so although the style is referred to as a Japanese style it is firmly rooted in the Chinese tradition. His son Kanei renamed the style "Uechi Ryu" to honor his father.

Kanbun Uechi taught Kiyohide Shinjo who taught John Ray who taught me. Learning the history of the art was a required part of our class. No joke--sensei made us take a written test as part of the promotion process.

The katana is because sensei is also rokudan in iaido. At the time he was shidan in Uehci but may have advanced to godan since I left.

I apologize for the derail. Vraith and I are talking shop.
