You didn't tell me it was going to make us get emails. ;)

Look in the email for a link to unsubscribe MsMary. (There was an option during the process to receive them or not, but the email will also have a link to go and stop them from sending any.)

 Apologies for any Amazon spam my request may have generated for all of you. (I already get so much spam from Amazon that I would hardly notice an increase....)

Thanks, Av.

You'll get at least one more from them, anyway. Amazon has everybody write a thank-you note, which they send on the author's behalf at the end of the campaign. So apologies in advance for *that* bit of spam.

The secret to not caring about spam involves never checking your email. :!:

Or having *everything* go to your spam folder unless the sender is in your address book. ;)

Hotmail consistently sends legitimate email to spam anyway. Even when you mark it "not spam." Gmail pretty consistently sends the real mail to the inbox and the spam to spam.

Over the years they swung from one extreme to the other. I've had my Hotmail account for probably almost 2 decades now, but I rarely use it. At first it was fine, then it got spammed so much that I eventually gave in and got a Gmail account. Over time I started going back to the Hotmail account for things where I was asked for an email address but didn't want to give a real one - much of that email goes into the spam folder, even when it's from large, reputable companies...

Yes and emails from large, reputable companies and organizations gets labelled as "highly suspicious." Cracks me the heck up when email from an Ivy League university is labeled as highly suspicious. Though, who knows, maybe it is. ;)

I guess I should apologize, ali. I think I was the cause of you not getting chosen. I apparently suck at nominating books for Scout. 1 for 12 so far.

That's okay, Fisty. I appreciate the vote anyhow. :)

The worst part was that I voted for another guy whose book was up at the same time mine was. His got selected and mine wasn't.
