To quote the Comic Book Guy..."Worst thread ever." ;)

In a related topic what where your favorite frames from these runs. I particularly enjoyed frames 12-16, 29 and 34-37 in Uncanny X-Men issue 129. Excellent use of color and composition although frame 16 appears to be slightly bleached (On second thought it may be a printing error rather than a production error). ;) :screwy:
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. I'm not that familar with the content of each Xmen. 129 is a Byrne issue. John Byrne at his artistic peak. late 70s early 80s is my favorite artist bar none. Garry Frank & Dale Keown are probably 2 and 3. By the way that you kid around, Brinn I would have thought you'd make fun of the issue that Byrne essentially used several blank panels to depict a "white-out" scene. If that is the issue then I laugh aloud. If not then I don't know. :-)

Actual SStar I'm just joshing around...Although I was a huge comic fan I no longer have any of my old ones and only remember story lines and not actual issue numbers. My lame attempt at humor obviosly fell completely flat. ;)

It is because your attempt was so close to the mark that it actually missed. :-) No matter.

Claremont/Byrne' run was on Iron Fist; they didn't do more than 1 of the PM/IF books, did they? Maybe they did 47-50; it's been so long ago....

Trimpe/Smith's Machine Man ltd. series rocked.

Yes, you're right. I just group IF, the two MTU's, and PMIF as one continuous run.

The Adams run on Green Lantern/Green Arrow (78-87?) was really good, as was the run he started on Avengers (92-103).
