Laws vary from state to state, and I'm not familiar with Colorado's, but theft in excess of $500 is usually considered a felony, which should carry some jail time. The B&E might add to that, but I'm more familiar with retail LP.

Short answer, they should be able to arrest him.

Good news, Cag! Or qualified good news, anyway, given the hassle you're having to go through to to get your stuff back. Here's hoping they send that guy where he belongs. :x

We were shown pictures of what was at the pawn shop, and my bass was one of them, as well as one piece of my wife's jewelry. Sadly, no others are found.

The guy has been arrested, and he implicated another that the po-po have been unable to contact yet. So, I'm guessing this is probably as much time as they are going to put into it, but it does look like we will be getting some stuff back after Christmas.

Well not a perfect result by any means, but at least you will get some of it back and the piece of shit who did it got arrested.

Glad to hear things are turning out much better than they might have. I think the significance of the good luck you had, finding your own game, makes me think about fate, and that it isn't always unkind.

Maybe the other jerkface has the rest of your stuff. Here's hoping the cops do find him.

Even part of a result is better than none at all. Did the insurance step up to the plate in the end Cag, or was *that* money wasted?

My wife though we should go ahead and put forward a claim, but I don't think it will be worth it. We'll see.

Cags - sorry this happened. I hope they catch the guy.

we were broken into years ago, in the old house. I lost a hard to find Grant Hart cd. and I missed out on having lunch with Johnny Nash. he camped where my wife was a park ranger and she had lunch with him a couple times. his wife sent an invite for me. but we waited all day for the police to show up and I lost the chance.

criminals suck.

Nice! I hope you fuck 'em up!

Stealing from an individual (especially one who trusts you) is the worst.
