I would like to visit snow, as it's been years since I saw any, but I am glad I don't have to contend with it on my commute. This city would shut down if it ever snowed here.

Snow on the Peninsula is practically unknown, fortunately. That narrow landspit from Silicon Valley to the Golden Gate has the Bay to the East and the Pacific to the West. The right weather conditions for snow there are almost unattainable.

1976 was the last time we had real snow here.

(And most of you would probably snicker at calling a couple of inches 'real snow'.)

Wow. Yes. Somewhere, I have a photo from that morning of my childhood home - blanketed in snow - in the Blossom Valley district of San Jose.

When we first moved south, we didn't expect snow, but when there was a snow storm predicted the first winter we were here, we discovered that the city had snow plows. They put the crew on alert, but as it hadn't snowed by 2am they sent them home. Snow started at 4am, so when the crew were preparing to go in, they couldn't make it in as the city was in chaos...

First really cold day of the season, and my heater was commandeered by the UMCP.

I'm not surprised. The Lady Morgana usually sleeps on the radiator when the heat is on here.

She figured out that it shuts off if she sits too close to it, and somehow found the perfect angle to not block it and still absorb all the warms.

Ah. Thank you. I knew of another fantasy series that has spaceships and intelligent cats in charge of... many things.

So I thought it might be that one.
Or a play on "RCMP".

Too bad I can't ask questions about this Min. (Spoilers, wrong subforum etc)

You can say it as many times as you want, but I'll still agree with Av.

Min Donner is technically my nemesis. Feline Min may not have nearly as much power as her namesake, but she is very much in charge around these parts - who could say no to that face?
