Fist: Read Small Gods. His books aren't long, just go ahead and do it.

Enjoyed reading all the previous posts here. Love TP. Have all his Discworld books on my kindle. Currently reading them all in the order they were published. Carpe Jugulum (not my favourite) at the moment. The last one was The Last Continent, which made me laugh so much when I first read it.

I too like Small Gods, but my most favourite are the Watch books - the story of Sam and Sybil. To watch the Watch (sorry) develop over the years was a joy. I am also very fond of Soul Music. There are some wonderful reminders of the late 50s early 60s in there. Jingo was also very thought provoking, but Night Watch is my most favourite.

So sorry you've gone, Sir Terry, but thanks for all the joyous hours spent reading your books.

You'd like Small Gods too.

I posted a whole reading order guide a while back, I'll have to track it down again.

The witches are my favorite, but the Watch comes a close second. I got a bit maudlin over the thought that we're not going to get to see Young Sam grow up.
