I always get caught up looking at the old game posts. Just been rereading my history of the Delucrii from Empires.

Just to be clear, everyone starts off with a domain and a divine rank of 1(there is no zero rank). You will have to recruit a prophet.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Okay, this is me registering, as Fist predicted.
I never really felt like The Numen were finished revealing themselves to me, so I'll recycle them. A Pantheon of Knowledge in the same world as a deity of the Mind. That can't help but end well.
Also, as a side note, I'm interested in resuming Inferno. Perhaps you can egg me into it. (Which wasn't actually sarcasm, though it probably came off that way.)
EDIT: The Numen rule over the domain of Undeath.

Nope, no sacrifice. It's possible you might lose enough followers to cause you to go down a DR, though. And if that happens, I don't think a player should then have to pick a domain to drop if they're at their limit, even if it would be kind of fun as a GM to observe.

Well, I'd rather egg you into declaring the other way just so I can finally spill the beans, but I'm selfish like that. And welcome to the game (same for Balon, Murrin, et al)Goatkiller666 wrote:Also, as a side note, I'm interested in resuming Inferno. Perhaps you can egg me into it. Y'know, if you guys really want a map... I did come up with Geomachy as a way of making maps for these kinds of games. It would require me to shift my thinking a bit on the back story, but I could make it work.

Whatever makes it easiest for you to run the game is what you should do.
Re Inferno, continue where we are, if possible. I suspect you're a bit too busy for that. But don't start I2. No point in having two new games competing for the limited number of players.

So if you "discover" or use some previously unknown area in your actions, do you need to make sure you tell absolutely everyone about it so that they know it's there? How do you stop other people choosing to "discover" a place on the same turn in the exact same location that's totally different?
Obviously I'm exagerrating the problem a little, just want to run over it. No map might be doable, just tricky.
