"Nine hundred and ninety-nine eggs all nice and warm. Crack, crack, crack, a little chick is born. Peep peep peep peep! Peep peep peep peep!"

If I do a verse a day, it'll only take about 3 years!

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

That is oddly mesmerizing.

And:

"Nine hundred and ninety-eight eggs all nice and warm. Crack, crack, crack, a little chick is born. Peep peep peep peep! Peep peep peep peep!"

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

Excerpt from the diary of Samuel Peeps -
13th October 1665

Have set up camp in an orange grove overlooking the Ulanga River, just south of Mbwila. Spent the day surveying the area and made a discovery of a very strange plant un-recorded in Habersham's Encyclopedia Botanical. The odd-shaped berries taste foul but the leaves which crumble easily in the palm of the hand have quite a pleasant taste and surprisingly sweet smell when smoked in a pipe.

14th October

Awoke early to a cacophony of bird song.
My chosen campsite seems to be a popular meeting place for birds of the exotic type. Many many differant types it seems.
Feeling too sleepy today and have gone back to bed.

15th October

Awoken by some disturbance nearby. Went to complain about the noise and was rudely told to go away by native warriors carrying many spears and shields. My grasp of their language is poor to say the least but surmise they are supporters of António who I believe are playing in the semi-final of some national sporting event.
As there may be some trouble brewing I've decided to break camp.

16th October

Thumbed a lift from a very decent German fellow who goes by the name of Wilhelm Kuhnert, wildlife painter extraodinaire.
The Belgian steamer I'm travelling on has some very peculiar engineering designs. As does the navigator and owner of this tub, Captain Potlid. Of which I'm certain isn't entirely human.

Pretty sure the green one on the far right is a zombie.

And I'm never going to finish this in three years if I keep falling behind. Where am I - 996? How did I get myself into this?

There's no rational explanation for why there isn't a Peeps of the Dead horror movie. It could be done with a budget of under $10.

My sister once nearly choked to death on a Peep when we were younger. Now, every year my mom sends an Easter basket wherever we are in the world, and always includes Peeps.

That's a bit horrifying. So is the fact that I read the one above as 'mouse-flavored'.

I don't think my cats would have any interest in Peeps.

I would have bet on the blue one. Good thing I don't gamble.

Also totally slacking on the Egg Song. At this rate, it's going to take me 10 years to finish.
