(Watchmen is forever associated with The Smashing Pumpkins to me because of the best trailer ever made ever.)

Awsome! Haven't seen that in years and I'm sure it features scenes not in the film (which I've seen what, five times).

Hmm, that Rorschach line near the end just feels thrown in, don't you think? Like they know it's the most famous speech in the book so they just had to get a bit in there even if it totally interrupted the trailer.

The world will look up and shout 'Save us!'
And I'll whisper 'no.'
That line? No - it's presence right at that time is genius. Being as it is the only dialog in the whole trailer, it lets you know what kind of movie you're in for. I loved that line.

That line had me thinking as well. I first thought he should 'say no' rather than whisper it [whisper seems to unlike 'real' speach] - but then re-thought; by whispering it he's telling us that he didn't actually tell the screaming masses that he would not save them, rather he judged them and found they were not worth saving. The word 'no' is spoken to himself. And thus ultiumately is why he had to die - he would not compromise himself to save the world. He is the Haruchai of Watchmen [and why I love his charachter the most].

That second one is a great line. :D I'm not a huge Watchmen fan...never read the comics, so not really attached or anything.

I love the last entry in Rorsarch's journal, written as he goes knowingly on what will be his final journey and in which he says "...I have lived my life without compromise and step into the shadows without complaint or regret."
