Ferrets also make great pets, but are even worse in that they sit bang on the borderline between being domesticated and not. They allow you to handle them only by the thinnest of agreement and if their cage is not secure they are gone.

I think they're more
not domesticated.

The thing with handling ferrets is that it demands absolute calmness from you as you do it. They are highly attuned to anything that smacks of stress or fear, and will react accordingly with the 'definitely not domesticated' part of their nature. if a ferret goes to bite you you have to over-ride the natural instinct we all have to pull your hand away. This will just teach them to bite all the harder so it is essential to let the bite come [it'll be too fast for you to evade anyway] and trust that there will be no sinking in if teeth. Mostly you'll be right.

Haha, yeah, like when a cat grabs you with their claws...pulling back is a fine way to get lacerated, because of the way the claws curve.

Learnt something really odd over the course of this: was in a quality shop looking for a tv stand and couldn't find anything that fit our needs. As we were about to go, all of a sudden we spotted a stand that was so nondescript that we just hadn't even registered it's presence. On a whim we took a chance and bought it - and it has turned out to be absolutely inspired! It's very invisibility has rendered it perfect, for at the end of the day who wants to see a tv stand: you want to see the tv, not the bloody stand!

Phase two is underway with the bathroom and toilet currently being replaced. I'm not going to go into the problems this generates because they are self evident, suffice to say that for me the work cannot be completed quickly enoug!
Hmmm ..........
(That's me - humming!

It's coming Av - my room is ready, but alas has to serve as storage space for all of the stuff from/for other rooms as they are done. My gaming computer will alas be the last piece to fit in a house sized jigsaw, but I will get there!

Wrong priorities...should have put that in first and let them assemble the rest around you, while you gamed.
