Abandoned discussion threads and truncated conversations

With many of these discussions it just isn't possible for them to reach a conclusion. The threads have served their purpose in simply getting people to think about issues or topics from a different perspective. To have ones views it to the test is always a productive thing: the discussions have no conclusion in the main because there isn't one, and they end because they have served their purpose .......... until a new perspective emerges.

I've been doing the equivalent of going through an old photo album and asking "who was that guy?" and then imagining what they must have been like when they were alive, what their hopes, dreams and aspirations may have been and noting that this particular photo album is so covered with dust that it is obvious that no one has looked at it in years. It was important at some point in time but now its a relic.
