I've been drinking tea since younger than age 10, though my 1-2-quart-a-day habit dates from teen years.

My current favorites:

Twinings Blackcurrant
Twinings Lemon Scented
New Vithanakande estate (from Sri Lanka, extremely expensive but ambrosial)
Harney's Tippy Yunnan
Lapsang Souchong (occasionally)

I am a big drinker of fennel tea, especially at night, while sitting at the PC, avoiding work. Peppermint is good at other times. Fruit teas are also great, until fairly recently I hadn't tried black tea, with or without milk, now I like it despite the consequent bladder weakness (lol, love it!)

I like Green Tea. Tea with milk is unpleasant to me. Tea down Mokkie's front would be quite nice, even nicer if it was boiling.

Also, whoever said it, how do you know what licking the floor is like?

Probably everyone has already invented this independently, but I thought I'd mention it: I make aliantha tea by squeezing a good-sized lime wedge into a cup of any good-quality peach- or apricot-flavored tea (my favorites are Twinings or Benchley [sp?]) and sweetening to taste. Thirst-quenching and delicious. I usually drink it hot, but it would probably be good iced too, for any Southern USA folk out there

Well, when milkless tea is the only thing on offer, the dog hair encrusted kitchen laminate is the lesser of two evils.

I especially like finding "different" kinds....you know, the types that you have to look for in specialty shops, where they measure it all out for you using an old scale and it can be put in bags for you (by hand!) or just gotten loose-leaf....
Anyway, I recently discovered a simply amazing green tea that is rediculously expensive but so very worth it! It's called "flower among the jasmine" and it comes in balls that look like some sort of flower bud, and you put only one in each cup...you see, each ball is actually green tea leaves wrapped -- by hand -- around a little package, held together with string, and this package contains more tea leaves and a single jasmine blossom. When you place the "bud" in your cup, the exterior leaves unfurl, and this is the first flower. As it steeps, these leaves "wilt" and the flower sinks to the bottom of the cup as the package unfurls itself, to let the jasmine blossom float to the top of your cup. Now THAT'S tea!

Wow, that's some kind of super-tea!

Hi Iryssa! You spoke about those hand made tea-wraps, and I really like them too. I bought a few just some days ago. When I got home I suddenly started to think about exactly how they where made and who had made them. What if they are produced by child-workers? Probably they are not, but I cant get that idea out of my head now. Any ideas on how to find out who made them (the people in the teashop didnt know of course...) anyone?

I used to drink tea with milk, but I stopped doing that several years ago. I can actually appreciate tea's subtle flavors now. I'll take a pass on the kitchen laminate, thanks.

Earl Grey is all around fabulous. Peppermint is great for clearing my sinuses. I also enjoy Orange Spice.

However, I can't stand Green tea: for some reason it nauseates me to the core of my being (slight exaggeration). Sorry, Iryssa.

Favorite brand name tea is Stash.

Mmm, I've just been drinking plain old milky tea, at just below lukewarm temperature. I'm known for letting my tea go cold. But that's a bit too cold, even for me.

My favs are Sleepy Time (camomille), Morning Thunder and Rosehip. Once when I had a lymphatic infection that almost killed me camomille tea saved my life! I don't take milk in tea or sweetner in either coffee or tea-the donuts make up 4 that!

I go for the ol' kettle-brewed green tea, with a bit of honey flavored in.

Well, I'm just a country girl who likes sweet, iced tea, and no one makes it like me. I make it the way mama did ( my sweet BABE) and every body wants my tea. folks come from miles around just to drink my tea. lol.
It is very satisfying if I do say so.
