I watched the film at home and might have missed that part.
I stand corrected. 😁

It was easy to miss. The film became a disjointed mess after the studio chopped it up.. at some point you'd think studios would learn.

Okay, I watched it.

Meh.

Idris Elba plays Bloodsport, a black man who is highly deadly with all forms of weapons and who has a youngish daughter with whom he has family issues and who totally isn't Will Smith's interpretation of Deadshot--no, there are no similarities between the two characters in any way. *nudge* *wink*

That actress who played Katana--Karen Fukuhara--didn't want to come back, either.

Although we had the same actress--Viola Davis--playing the same character--Amanda Waller....well, Waller from the first movie and Waller from this movie are almost two different people altogether. The first Waller was the cold, calculating no-nonsense person who is fine with sacrificing pawns to get the job done while this one was an overly-aggressive bitch with anger management issues.

James Gunn did not bring his usual magic to this film. By the time you are halfway into it you find yourself thinking "is this movie almost over yet?". Still....at least I can say I watched it.

I watched it.

I can say I enjoyed it more than the first one but it still seems as though the film makers were saddled with shoe horning in specific elements that largely make little sense. Keeping any of the characters and actors from the first film was a mistake IMHO.

I didn't hate it but I probably won't watch it a second time.

It was alright.
Had some funny moments in the beginning that made me laugh out loud.
Got bored in the second half though.

I've never understood the Harley Quin appeal so all of her scenes made me browse my phone because I lost interest.

Stallone was funny.

Did they not understand that making the villain Patrick from Sponge Bob was a silly idea?

Overall it was fun, I guess.

A key target demographic for movies, especially superhero/comic-book-related movies is still "heterosexual males ages 18 - 30", so Margot Robbie satisfies that demographic on screen. Apparently teenage girls like her because she is a "tough chick" who walks her own path....even though that path is full of crime and violence.

Free Guy was much more fun to wach than this movie.

The entire time I was watching it I was thinking to myself, "WTF?!?!?"

My initial reaction was "I don't know if I liked it, but I'll definitely remember it."

Having had more time to reflect... I liked it!

I have actually seen it twice--once on my own then once with Ms. Lebwohl.

It is still "meh".
