I'd also pay to see the coke bit I've done it often enough so it's good to see others with the same difficulty - of course I'm assuming we're talking about the dark and liquid variety
I'm all for a poll. But all of the ideas are so good. I would have to have one of each!
How about this idea: Any saying that has to do with the Lords, the shirt should be in blue; any saying pertaining to LF or ur-viles and the such should be black; anything with TC should be white or silver (grey?), etc.
catch my drift?
I don't know how much choice we will have on the actual color of the shirt. I think they only come in white. But I believe the image we put on the shirt should be open to any colors.-jay
I think Caamora's idea could work with a white shirt. Lord sayings could be in blue print, Lord Foul sayings in black or icky green (for the Illearth Stone), Bloodguard in red, TC in gray/silver, Giants in their own color, etc. We could even assign a color to sayings made up by board members. That one "I'm a leper and proud of it" is kind of cool. And it would pretty much guarantee the wearer a seat on the city bus!
true .. but .. there is more than one way to skin a cat ..
to have ones cake and eat it .. if you get my drift
I think these are all great ideas .. and there must be some t-shirt making company out there .. that can create the kind of fan-shirt consistent with these ideas .. the cost might well be more .. but its been established established that with most people here .. cost is not the primary issue ..
personally a white shirt with coloured print might well be the go .. but if not for all .. then a more definitive TCTC kinda shirt surely still might be realised/possible.
whats the deal with the manufacture of the shirts jay? Is it just for sale here at the Watch or further afield? Is it just a proto-type experiment to gage how they might go if you produced more? or just a one off idea?
keep smiling
'Smoke me a kipper .. I'll be back for breakfast!'
Well, the site that I will be going to to make the shirts will probably be Cafepress.com. I've bought a t-shirt from a Wheel of Time site that uses Cafepress and they really make nice t-shirts. It's 100% cotton, soft, doesn't itch at all, and very nice. I think what you do is just set up an account and make the t-shirt designs. Then you set the price that you want to sell them at and Cafepress does all of the work for you. People buy the shirts at Cafepress and Cafepress makes and ships them. All I have to do is design the shirts and link to the shirt page. I'll probably just sell them on the site, Kevin's Watch. Where else would people want to buy Covenant t-shirts? And I probably won't sell them for a lot of money, since it's not really about the money, it's about giving Covenant fans an opertunity to own a Covenant t-shirt. Heh. I think the way it works is that there is a "base" price that Cafepress sells the shirts at (they have to make money, afterall). Any extra money I get (if any) will just go to supporting Kevin's Watch (like domain name cost).-jay
Has anybody else yet suggested "stop giving me that blank look" ... or whatever else it was he said when Bannor infuriated him with his stolidity?
How about checking out his comments when he pleaded with Mhoram to let him go back and save the girl from the snake. There must be some pretty appropriate 'send me back' text in there, surely?
