Guess I'm definitely in the minority on this one!
I have always loved scene art, even if it wasn't how I pictured the scene in my mind. Sure, I've made fun of Sweet's covers, but I still enjoy the art.
Personally, I'm glad this is the UK edition. Obviously I'm buying the book, even if it does have a solid black cover - but I would be disappointed.

I think the cover looks quite good, if a little bare. A few small changes in colours/quality on the actual book would result in a pretty good cover (Note - I hate most illustated books covers).

As some of you know, one of the identities I had while on your Earth was Odin. I went through quite a bit to learn the runes. When you compare them: kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/album_view.php?id=297
to this draft cover: stephenrdonaldson.com/RunesCover.jpg
Well, I'm sure you see my point. I was surprised when I came to the Earth of the Land, and found that the same runes are used! They are not merely an expression of one reality, but two!
We could speculate that they are an expression of any reality; that there is one ultimate reality that the multitude of planes are spun off of, and that these runes are common to them all because they come from the One. But I may be taking things a bit far.

Hmmm I don't much like the cover, plus I don't really like the whole "Most important fantasy event of the century" thing either.

What The....?

If someone hadn't mentioned that they were trees, I wouldn't of known what it was!!!
But, I don't really mind about the cover, just as long as it is released very soon!!!!
