In a post earlier (and perhaps on another thread) I opined that Joan has served a symbol for the health of the land (bloodshed as sustainence). If she is damaging herself, with the only succor being white gold, what might the Land be doing to itself (with Foul's help no doubt)?
btw, I hate Roger already too...but don't rule him out as a potential anti-hero. Thermopyle comes to mind from the GAP series.
Great Gak.... the waiting will cause my monkey-like head to explode!

Is anyone on this board really well-connected w/ SRD or his publisher? If so, please find out if we will be getting anymore scraps from the master.
Woof!

I don't believe we'll see anything else until we see the whole thing. They've given us enough to whet the appetite. From Steve's point of view, he doesn't want to spoil any surprises. And from the publisher's point of view, this is enough to whip us into a buying frenzy.
If you eat the whole Bloomin' Onion, there won't be any room left for the burger.

No, that's just because you've got 9 kids to look after. Any person with nine kids (WOW, how does she do it? I have 2 little sisters and they drive me MAD!

she is truly great, *bows*) would be in a frenzy. regardless of whether it's a good book or not.

Huggles furls!
Anyways. Furls has a good point... but that prologue is there just to provoke us a bit more. Like poking us with sticking, it just gets to us.

Has anyone else found that the formatting of the pdf is all screwed up or is it just me?
It makes it quite hard to read.

What problem is there with the .pdf? You might want to try updating your version of the Adobe Reader if you can. If not, let me know what version you're using and I'll take a look at it.

Ah, I was using Acrobat Reader 4.0. Works fine with 6.0, although that didn't stop me copying it onto Word and correcting the formatting beforehand.
