Hail, Silverleaf. You said it!!! I felt much the same when I found the Watch. Recently I had a fit of panic when I couldn't get on for over a week.
I look forward to my time here more than anything else it seems. This is a great place, and everyone makes you feel very welcome.

The funny thing for me was i had no idea that Runes was being made untill it was in my hand. My grandfather (who just got back from the chicago book thing) said here and put it in my hands. And i saw "The third chronicals of Thomas Covenent" and just started swearing at him. I belive me exact words were:

What the fuck? what. what? you're serious. no. no. WHAT? This. This. No. fuck. fuck. What the fuck? NO! what? Oh my god. This. Did you know. This was like my favorite. What. the fuck. it was like 20 years. oh. oh god. what the fuck. YOU ARE THE MAN GRAMPS.
And that wasnt me talking. that was all a monolog. He just stood their looking amused. Then i went home and read it.

Lol, that would have been my response, although I'm sure those of you 10 states away would have wondered what all the screaming was about coming from the general direction of Ohio.

I'd love to read Runes, BUT I have this tendency to buy a book, read it in a day, and then go into deep depression waiting a year for the next volume. As a reader of Salvatore, I have to control my buying appetite for his books, pacing myself so as not to finish them before the next one is out - and that my friends calls for a ton of self-control. 8)

Speaking of books, I was searching online at Ebay for another set of TC, since mine are so tattered and in Unrepair (sorry, couldn't resist) so I did bid on and win a complete 3rd edition set in mint condition.

THEN, I stopped in hours after winning that auction to a new Old book store locally, and what do I find sitting on the top shelf ?

A brand new First edition double boxed set for 12 bucks. Freaked me out.

Needless to say, they are now sitting on my "shelf of honor" and I'll use the 3rd editions for the next couple months till I wear them out. lol

By the way, I'm not sure if its a record, but I've went through 18 sets of Tolkien books in 35 years, and only 1 was replaced do to losing them.

Cheers,
