Watched the season premiere on Sunday and just about pissed myself laughing. Family Guy is back and funnier than ever.
American Dad was also funny, but not quite as good as Family Guy.

The opening was great... funny how Fox has f'd over a lot of great shows.

I might buy Season 1 & 2. Used to watch it all the time back in 99, when I was in 8th grade. Could do a mean Stewie impression. How's Season 4 stacking up, by the way?

Sunday's show was impressive. I was worried it'd come back half-a$$ed, but they're still right on top. American Dad was less funny--I'm just not that thrilled with it. Though the alien is fabulous.

Well, I bought Seasons 1-3 today. Almost done with season one. I remembered some from when I first watched them, circa 1999. I'm not sure what my favorite episode was--all of them stellar, but I really enjoyed "Brian In Love". Can't wait to get to season 2 and 3, since I haven't seen either season, and I hear that's where they really hit their stride.
*Brain runs over somebody while driving down a country road
Brian: "Oh my God, are you Stephen King?"
Ran-over person: "No, I'm Dean Koontz."
Brian: "Oh."
*Brian goes back to his car and backs it over Dean Koontz*

Almost done with Season 2. Can't wait for Season 3! I just love the fact that Adam West is the mayor of Quahog. Watching that extended take of Adam West chewing taffy was great. heh

I'm still annoyed with myself that I forgot Family Guy was on last Sunday. Fortunately, we caught it and American Dad last night. God....I was afraid I was going to blow a hernia laughing so hard at both Family Guy and American Dad.
American Dad is really starting to come into it's own and not be so much of a Family Guy clone, especially with the CIA agent stuff to base a lot of jokes on. The whole memory erasing thing had me dying.

"Got any gum? I want to get the taste of roadie out of my mouth."
Priceless.

Fox pre-empting Family Guy for something else is getting really old, so it was nice to finally see a new episode last night, not to mention American Dad.

yeah, all these pre-empts have me worried. obviously, Family Guy is not as important to them as car-racing.

It was a good episode though.

The best part was when it flashed to the Cosby Kids.

OK....what the hell is going on now?
Last Sunday, they ditched American Dad and showed a new Family Guy episode with a repeat of an old Family Guy episode afterwards. My wife checked TV Guide for this week when we got it in the mail, and they're apparently doing the same thing this Sunday also.

American Dad probably isn't getting good ratings. I know I don't watch it, and I love Family Guy.
