But I was more into Black Sabbath (with Ozzy) and Deep Purple.

OK, this trhead is interesting- and I see there are some people here even older than me.

Here goes- the songs that remind me most of high school are :
"Every Breath You Take"- The Police
"Hysteria" - Def Leppard
"Showstopper" - Salt N Pepa
"Distant Early Warning"- Rush
"One" - Mettalica
"High on You"- Survivor
and anything by Duran Duran.

Any guesses when I graduated?
OOps- Almost forgot "Take on Me"- a-ha
By the way- this is not (all) the music I still listen too- I am more of a Floyd, CSN&Y, 70's Rock kinda girl myself. Some groups like Rush, and the Police span both decades, though. I bet I couldn't tell you one popular song and who sings it on the radio today. Kind of embarassing- my daughter is doomed........

Having gone back and actually read the thread, I see that I was supposed to write the songs I LIKED from high school....oops.

Almost anything by Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Jackson Browne, John Denver, or Janis Ian. With a little Three Dog Night and Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show tossed in for fun.

Cail- You've got THAT right. I almost always listen to 70's stuff now, but after finding this thread and looking over some of the hits from the 80's I realized just how much I miss those years!
