Cool Duchess--that your son wrestles and all. What weight class? I played football and wrestling for about three years until the head football coach was an asshole to me. I was the biggest guy on the wrestling team, so I had to wrestle all senior linemen, basically! My main partner was this huge black guy whose favorite move was wrapping his arms around you and then slamming ya *BOOM* on your back! Needless, to say, I wanted to quit the first day. But I stayed on the whole season.
I remember I had wanted to be lazy like a friend of mine and do “track”. But for a lineman, track, as a winter sport, is basically "stand around, throw the metal ball, and go home". See...the coach gathered up all the sophomores (which I was at the time) and went around the locker room asking each of us what our winter sport would be. Well, if you replied with "I don't know" you got snapped on, and all the big guys so far said "wrestling". I forget what my friend who wanted track said. Think he got snapped on! Anyway, I said "wrestling" too! Boy, I felt I had screwed myself, cause football was one thing, but me WRESTLING was about the farthest thing from my mind--EVER.
But it did have its moments--wrestling, that. I won’t go into the “M.C. Hammer” incident or the “Bohemian Rhapsody” incident, though.
