Maybe they do want the same thing but for different reasons. I suspect that they are inextricably linked, but not allied or working together.

Perhaps... we don't know how they are linked yet... I mean Thomas is the oppisite of Foul, so perhaps you're right.

With regard to the royal "we", I assumed that Foul meant that he and Anele would lead her to hurtloam. The we being Foul and Anele.
