English Settlement by XTC came in the mail a couple days ago. Glad I'm not getting any new music, actually. For the past year or so I've been exploring Beethoven's sonatas. Unfortunately, I've drawn the conclusion that a lifetime of exploring them will not be sufficient.

Best decision of your life!

I give my family a list of about 25 CDs that I'd like, so that they can buy me stuff that I want, but so that it's still a fairly big surprise. Unfortunately I totally forgot about this and bought Emperor's In The Nightside Eclipse yesterday (it was blue vinyl! I couldn't resist the temptation)... so let's hope that it proved impossible to find for my mother.

Not sure, but I don't think I'm getting any music this year. The money will probably go towards buying some CDs off my wishlist, though.

Emperor have re-formed :o

I doubt I'll get cds, since my family know better than to guess at my music taste. My brother sometimes gives me cds (and always gets it right, with some Offspring and some Muse) but mostly I just go shopping after Giftmas. In a pre-emptive cd spree yesterday, I did buy Fear Factory and Children of Bodom's new albums...

I guessed correctly. Money enough to spare some towards a couple of recently-discovered bands (found from using Pandora, actually - thanks to whoever posted the link to that place). Order will probably go out next week: CDs by Shesus, Flyleaf, and Scarling.

Got Tokyo Tapes and Leave a Whisper by Shinedown-both CDs are fantastic! Only prob with Tapes is that due to lenght and remastery they (Hir-O) stuck Polar Nights on the newly remastered Taken by Force (dang will be forced, now, to by another killer Scorps CD! :x 8) )-first time I've heard Fly to the Rainbow since 83 dang it ripped my head apart-what a masterfully written song!

I think Shinedown just joined Tool, SoaD, Soundgarden and AiC in my upper pantheon-those lyrics just break your heart into a million pieces!
