I think that Angus did love Morn. He just wasn't foolish enough to believe she could ever love him back. I think he loved her from the moment he saw her, it just took 4 novels worth of time for him to realize it.
He doesn't seem to articulate to himself that it IS love that he feels, but I think that is what it is nonetheless.
And in regards to my recent censorship- Sorry, I thought it was ok to use profanity when directly quoting the source material.
Am I the only person that didnt hate Angus at the start?

I think that Angus has a pretty broad spectrum of emotions when it comes to Morn, but "love" as we define it isn't one of them (IMHO). My take on it is that she "terrified" him because she was the first person that he truly empathized with, and felt pity for. He sees her as a kindred spirit of sorts. And he certainly performs some heroic acts on her behalf. But he doesn't allow himself the luxury of forgetting that as a cop, she represents his ultimate doom - imprisonment.
