Caer Sylvanus wrote:has anyone heard Johnny Cash singing Hurt by Nine Inch Nails? Pretty good. I hear the video is rather poignant.
I have heard it but I had no idea that it was a Nine Inch Nails song. Not that that would have mattered to me, I only know the name. I see that it is credited to someone called Trent Reznor, whoever that is. (If you want it you will find it on "The Man Comes Around", and personally I like the title track better.)

As for me generally I will have to say that what my favorite songs are vary with time. I will make a current list though.

1. Sunday Morning Coming Down (J. Cash)
2. Tombstone Shadow (Creedence Clearwater Revival)
3. The Rising of the Moon (Dubliners)
4. Brev från Kolonien (C. Vreesvijk)
5. Balladen om Ernst Georg Johansson (E. Taube)
6. Angel got married (Commander Cody)
7. Måkene (O. Børretzen/Myhre)
8. Gutta (Jokke og Valentinerne)
9. Tweeter and the Monkey Man (The Travelling Wilburys)
10. Country Trash (J. Cash)

Well that is is, but this is likely to change at any time.

ooooohhhhhhh Sky...........I love Drops Of Jupiter and MY IMMORTAL!!!!!!
Calling All Angels is great too and for me, you can add Dido's Thankyou and Take My Hand as well as Here With Me.

Touch my skin and tell me what youre thinking,
Take my hand and show me where we re going.
Lie down next to me, look into my eyes and tell me,
Oh tell me what youre seeing.
.........gives me goosebumps everytime.

Another oldie that I rediscovered was California Dreaming by The Mommas and The Pappas (sp)

My gosh! Someone else knows who Johnny Horton is (was)!
