Back on topic, I think Vincent Price would have made a good Thomas Covenant.
EDIT: Fixed a spelling error.

Hugh Laurie, the doc in "House" would be great as Covenant. He has the look and the attitude down pat. The first time I saw the show, I thought "OMG! That guy looks like Thomas Covenant!"

exactly what Foul wants you to do?"

"Hamish." Good choices! Btw, the actor's name is Brendan Gleeson, and he's going to play Mad-Eye Moody in
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire./i]

I would think for the bloodguard, they would have to employ the same technology as PJ did with Gollum. For Covenant, I'd love to see someone like Jack Nicholas.

I had a great choice for Sunder too...but alas, I forget who it was now..lol.
ona sillier note...my Dad always says Jimmy Stewart would be a good Covenant...but I can't imagine it at all...I know someone else on KW suggested it too...some funny replys on that one...lol

My fantasy pick for TC is
definitely Hugh Laurie. Hands down, no question. Ian McKellen is my Caerroil Wildwood. Other than that... Oooh, I know! A young Brent Spiner as Amok, with the "Puck" voice he did for Disney's cartoon series,
Gargoyles.

Covenant
Whoah! I never thought about him, he could definitely do it. Geez! Maybe Calista Flockhart (she is my favorite actress) could play Elena, I loved A Mid-summer Night's Dream!

LOL! That would be perfect.

Some good choices there, but personally I think I'd rather avoid Mckellan or Lee as a mysterious white-bearded figure.

I don't know much about his acting range, but Donald Sutherland possesses the stern visage I associate with Wildwood.

That's a good idea. I dig DS. And--what about Keifer Sutherland for TC? (Apart from the unbeatable Christian Bale, of course, danlo

.) Keifer's gone from almost-Brat-Pack bad boy to an actor with a well-developed range. His age is roughly right--he could do younger or older as need be.

Richard Harris. He could probably have done a mean "Give me a good reason not to kill you" thing with Caerroil Wildwood. Or would everyone have just said, "Look, it's Dumbledore!" There's also Michael Gambon, who makes a lousy Dumbledore but could definitely pull off a Forestal.
Never really knew Christian Bale from Adam before, but now that I've seen a picture, I totally agree that he has the look for it. My second choice for TC, after Hugh Laurie.

I will agree that Gambon does make a pathetic Dumbledore. I think Natalie Portman would make a good Lena, any comments on that?
