None that ever were mentioned.

just because 1 wasn't meantioned, doesn't mean there wasn't one... but in a way, the warsd were Kevin's sons... and with the lords using kevin's wards, they were effectivly, in 1 way, his sons...

We really don't know anything about the Old Lords, their marriages (if any) or their kids. For all we know Berek might have had twenty children and five wives! We are only told about Damelon, nothing at all about Damelon's mother. I've always wondered if she was the Queen? There might have been many lines of descent from Berek that we are unaware of...

Interesting point, but the question was if Mhoram was a direct decendant of Kevin. There is no evidence one way or the other.
Someone, I guess, should have asked the Bloodguard.

What if Berek, Damelon, Loric, or Kevin had daughters?

then we never heard about them...

Actually, even if Mhoram and one or both of his parents were descended from the Old High Lords, the Bloodguard wouldn't know. They were sent off to the mountains by Kevin, they would have no idea of the generations between the Desecration and the time when they regained contact with the other survivors.
Yes, the Old High Lords could have had daughters, or other sons we never heard of. I find it rather unlikely that three generations in a row (Berek, Damelon, and Loric and their partners) only produced one son each. Surely there would have been other kids, as well. And who knows about Kevin?

Well, it depends on how much the Old Lords wanted children. They may
have been able to use Earthpower to prevent conception unless they
wanted to have children.

I have wondered if the way they people of the Land can "see" each other healthwise has been a form of birthcontrol for them. i.e. they simply avoid sex at times when the woman is fertile? There just doesn't seem to be very many kids...
But even if a couple decided to have only one child, would earthpower help them decide the sex of that child? Wouldn't at least one of the old high lords have had a daughter rather than a son, statistically speaking?

Well, each of the Old Lords lived to be, what? 4, 500 years old??

I think someone somewhere in the first chrons says that the Old Lords lived centuries as most people lived decades...if the New Lords, etc. have problems with aging slower than their spouses, wonder how the Old Lords dealt with that problem? Or did they only marry other Lords?

Elena said that. It's also true for Hirebrands and Gravelingas as
Atirian aged while Trell did not.
Maybe the Old Lords would fall in love with someone and have a
child ... and then be heartbroken when their mate and children
died while they continued aging very slowly. Surely not every
child of a Lord has the aptitude to be a Lord him or herself.
How tragic would it be if the thing that gave meaning to your life
doomed to you lose the ones you loved the most?

It would be very tragic, for me at least, possibly unbearable...

perhaps this added to kevin's dispair... as he lived longest fo the old lords...

Thta's quite possible. Might not have even been a wife/girlfriend/child that aged and died while he stayed young. Could have been his mom or brothers and sisters...I really do wish we knew more about the Old Lords!
