Thanks for the synopsis, Mouseglove.
Raises more questions in my mind than it answers, though.
Can't wait for FR!!!!

Wow, makes me regret there was just no way I could shoehorn a run over to Ft. Lah-ti-dah (Lauderdale to most folks) for the conference. Thanks for the spy job, it certainly takes a bit of the sting out of the wait for more. I was hoping you'd post!
May I recommend Mi Casa in that area for Mexican food? It's on the right a little bit past the gigantic sports/outdoors store...which is itself worth a visit just for its sheer size.

I have, however, re-read it again, and will do so about every three months until the next book comes out, just so I'm ready.

I'm with you, Mouseglove. I think I may have read
Runes even faster the first time, because I wanted to get to know the shape of the story. The second time around, I read more slowly and reflectively, catching all the nuances I missed, making better sense of it all. I don't consider this any loss, for there is hardly such a thing as a novel I read just once. Either I throw the book against the wall before I finish, and never go back, or I re-read and savour the author's spell.

I wish I could read that fast, but I just don't seem to be capable of doing so. Heh.-jay

Wow... that's not really a twist I expected. It's gonna be hard waiting for the rest! Thanks for posting that, mouseglove!

One question that very much comes to mind about this info
I can see why Convenant would be harmed by the Staff of Law, or even by a touch (remember, Covenant was told not to touch his Dead in Andelain too), but what's up with Jeremiah? Is the kid also dead? If so, Linden is going to go off the deep end!

It's also odd that they'd be dismissed by the SoL, given SRD's previous comments that the Laws of Life and Death are still broken because the Staff hadn't been used in a way appropriate to restore them. I guess it still has the two Laws innate to its structure, though, even though they haven't been restored apart from its presence. or something like that.
