LURCH! Mel! I want to read your posts... I do... I can tell you have lots of interesting things to say, but your typing style gives me a headache. I'm not insulting you, or poking fun or anything, but seriously, I just can't read the post without getting a minor headache. Maybe I'm just hypersensitive to punctuation? Oh well... good post either way

i often wondered why the creator didnt simply break the arch and throw foul either in a new unpopulated prison or simply destroy him.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Well, see, that's my problem with omnipotent creator ideas. That whole idea that they 'can't do something. But I guess the Creator was never cast as omnipotent, so nevermind.

i figure if he could destroy foul destroying the land is a pretty small price, i mean he could just create a new one could he not?

Indeed, but I would imagine that's akin to saying it's no big problem to kill your baby, because you can always make another one. Some things aren't expendable.
...All the while contemplating the various characters figurative representation, it dawned on me something different. This thread is asking for a new plan.
Follow me if you want to. I agree that the same old ,reduce Foul until he vanishes ,isn't going to cut it. Been there done that. At the same time , realize the Lands folks are just opposite as we knew them. Avery is inclined to " heal" them, bring themselves back to what they had been. She needs their healing inorder to get them on her side.
In that recognition of what has been lost, and the need to restore it, has to come to the other side of the coin. Just as Earth Sense exists, so does Lord Foul. No, you are never going to get rid of despair. Its always " available".
Now,,there has been mention of the skurj and firelions and kasternessen..here is what i see as a possibilty,,a monument, or large tribute, impervious to time like granite,,to and of Despair. Kasternessen may not realize it, but it seems to me as with Vain and Findail was it,,becoming melded into the new staff of Law,,His Foulness and kasternessen in some shape and form melding in to a black obsidian tower or pinnacle or peak ,,in the middle of the Plains, able to be seen from scores of miles around, to remind the folks, that yes despair is always just over the shoulder, part of being human, and to be on guard for it, don't let it rule your life. Kevins Watch went down, Avery's Avatar went up. Foul forever locked in embrace and encased in the eternal recognition by Black Obsidian.
Now,,the plan part, perhaps thats what we shall see develop. I really don't believe at this time that there will be a Plan. I think events and decisions and consequences will conspire a roller coaster ride for the reader, leading to indeed what the author has already described as the mother of all endings. No, the death of Foul means the death of all of it. Its in the recognition of His Foulness, that he can be at least contained and available for all eternity to be warned of, as the grotesque figurative that he ( it) is....Everybody is liberated by his Containment....MEL

but what if said baby contained a entity ( i love that word ) of pure evil, and once you killed it you could have a perfect one (no Foul to throw banes in this time)

If the baby contains an entity of pure evil that is intent on ravaging said baby...you have cancer, or something much like it. The wisdom of killing a cancerous infant is a matter for the Close
