If it is an Aprils Fools joke. It's a sad one... and not very funny...

Though I did think there was something wrong with it... I mean the arrogance of it is just appalling if it was true.

Damn - I had this whole April Fool's thing planned out too - I was going to post a paragraph about how SRD had suspended writing Fatal Revenant indefinitely. Jay beat me to it.

no offence to insanity falls but how did he get chosen? was it random? or does he mod another forum and got recommened?

Because the webmaster said if we don't put him in as moderator, we won't be SRD offical site anymore.

The webmaster. he forced this desicion on us. If this isn't a joke.

I am not sure if this is a joke: I would have thought jay-heh may be more creative than this, not to mention funnier.

Although, it does seem to have us all up in arms.

Not to mention the fact, that it is not something SRD would do. If this is "The Official Message Board" of SRD, no webmaster, unless that webmaster is SRD himself, can make the kind of "request" that jay mentioned.

If this is an April Fools, it's not so good. If it's true, however, it's pretty funny.

But in case it isn't:

...Well, I will not tolerate that petulant, snivelling little being an administrator of this site. Jay and Alynna founded the site off their own backs as fans, for fans, and Vain set up the newest incarnation of the forum in his own time. These people have voluntarily given of their own time and money to benefit the rest of us, and I take umbrage at the suggestion that the site they (and all of us) created with blood and sweat should fall prey to the whims of someone who hasn't earned the privilege. Bugger the official status. I love the Watch, not the association with SRD's official site. I would much rather we cut loose and be independent again than tolerate this. If we do continue with this ludicrous course, I intend to resign my membership in disgust; I will not be party such a travesty.
