So, of course, it will be raining and in the 50s for the next 10 days.

BEAUTIFUL day!I took my little propane grill to my grandparents and cooked pork chops and brats we ate well,my 81 year old pawpaw ate too much and swore he would not be able to get up from the table-he was kidding of course, pawpaw can still move pretty fast for an 81 year old man-even when full.Anyway Wednsday will bring rain and storms with a chance of severe weather, then another chance again on Thursday. It has rained a lot lately and I am thinking of building an ark.

It's supposed to rain here on Thursday. Joy! Hopefully this means the tourists will stay off the Metro and I can get to class and back in relative peace. Of course, they might all decided to go to museums... so they'll all be trying to get back to their hotels right around the time I'll be heading to school.

At least it's not snow. <sigh>
At least it's
not snow? I ADORE snow.
Of course, I've only seen about a foot of it at once in my life, and that qualified as a "blizzard" here...
But still!!

Well, when you have a snowstorm that drops 10 inches followed by snowstorm that drops 6 inches followed by a blizzard that lasts 2 days and drops 2.5 feet followed by a snowstorm that drops 8 inches followed by a snowstorm that drops another 10, and you still have to go out and wait for the bus in it, it gets kinda old.

There was a time when I would have agreed with you, though.
In other news, we might hit 70 tomorrow for the first time since October! And fifteen miles away at my bf's parents' house, there are still snow drifts 2 feet high!

Haha, it's 70 here today. It was near 80 a few days ago.

Spring and fall here, in Alabama, is nice, and stays in the 70's, sometimes 80's, but then summer comes and everything gets all humid. Blargh.
I still envy that entire snow thing. Grrrr... I wish that, for one time in my life, I could see THAT MUCH snow. And then do the childish thing and make snowmen and such.

Yea,I live in Jasper Alabama-humidity SUCKS!What good does sweating do you when it is 95 and the sweat does not evaporate? You just end up soaking wet and dehydrated.I would rather live in Arizona-at least the dry heat will let your bodily functions-well function. And as for snow,I have a four year old who has never gotten to play in it-when I was a kid it seemed like we got at least one decent snow a year, global warming?

Well, Autumn is here, with winter fast approaching on its heels. Climate change has become a reality, and even as it gets colder here, it's still raining unseasonably.
Predictions are that climate change is going to adversely affect crop growing, and that we can expect more flooding, etc. in parts of the country which are usually dry. Plans already in place for crops to replace maize in the areas that will be effected, and legislation about to pass in order to reduce energy consumption.
Worlds changing folks. Better get ready for the ride.

Just look at the US's west coast. L.A. has had twice as much rain this season as Seattle. You want to talk creepy.

Upper 70's, sunny, slight breeze.
Perfect for going boating & fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.
(In fact, I already did today. Great weather!)

Once the snow melted we were pelted by friendly hail for one half hour, now I can see some blue sky to the SW and the sun's starting to come out!
