Heh, you guys kill me. Now what was this thread about? Oooh, I see; it's about Heather Carolin as Linden. Well, if that ever happens, I'm selling all my stuff and buying my own movie theater......

Man it would be hard for the actor who plays TC to say 'Don't touch me' to her.

I agree that the actor would have a hard time around her.

Something tells me Brinn will copy and past that line soon.

I guess she will hold the staff at the end.

Now tell me, why did you think it neccessary to stir it up again?
I saw a good post getting twisted around and felt the need to respond in my own right.
I'm done.

I had to look her (Heather Carolin) up online.
Thanks, now I won't be getting any work done today!
Man, if she were to play Linden I'd forgive any character alterations they would make!

You know Lore, I was contemplating it but I think that it came out exactly the way dAN intended it. That is to say that, technically, there is really no double entendre there! ;)
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. I'd rather they didn't make a movie of the series... after the way Peter Jackson (a B-movie low-life if I've ever seen one) raped the LoTR trilogy, I'd hate to see what could happen to SRD's masterpieces.

1) heather caroline is [inserting "not respectable" here -- Wayfriend], is she even an actor? 2 linden is described as totally different to her.

She's done movies, but I don't know if she can act. As far as I'm concerned, I'd pay to just watch her on the screen, and any acting ability would be considered icing on the cake. Actually, she is not the right person to play Linden, but then again, I wasn't really serious about that. I hope that they can get Kyrsten Dunst to play Linden, and Heather Carolin can replace her as Mary Jane in the 5th (and final) Spiderman movie. As for her "respectability", well, I don't think it's fair to single her out. There are tons of Hollywood actors who got off to a less than auspicious start.

Now, why you'd ask what's wrong with me after Scorn's insane comment about Peter Jackson, I'll never know. :screwy:

If they can get anything remotely close to what Peter Jackson did to the LOTR novels, then I’ll be in heaven. :) I can only hope we get something as good!

I agree, the first thing I thought when I heard they were contemplating making TCoTC into a series of movies, I thought : It would be great to have Peter Jackson direct it.

I thought he did a great job with LoTR.

I truly think that they'd never get any of the books to fit into a 3.5hr movie regardless...but still, at least it's a chance to see something you've always visualized actually come to life. If it sucks, no big deal, we all know the books are great and we'll always have them.
Brian: Who cured you?
Ex-Leper: Jesus did, sir. I was hopping along, minding my own business, all of a sudden, up he comes, cures me! One minute I'm a leper with a trade, next minute my livelihood's gone. Not so much as a by-your-leave! "You're cured, mate." Bloody do-gooder.
Brian: Well, why don't you go and tell him you want to be a leper again?
Ex-Leper: Uh, I could do that sir, yeah. Yeah, I could do that I suppose. What I was thinking was I was going to ask him if he could make me a bit lame in one leg during the middle of the week. You know, something beggable, but not leprosy, which is a pain in the @$$ to be blunt and excuse my French, sir.

Hmm...I don't understand the complaints about Viggo in particular. I think he brought particular depth to what is a pretty stiff character (Aragorn). His interpretation (and dedication to the role) impressed me more than anyone else in the cast of LOTR. Sean Astin, on the other hand...
