BTW there are quite a few SRD fans on Guild Wars...its funny when you see Lord Foul and Hile Troy running around.

Well, it turns out I didn't need to try again on the bird thing - I'd completed the mission even though I'd been killed the last time. I think I'm getting the hang of this game now.
I'll keep an eye out for you online, though, and see if I can spot any other TC fans, heh.

Frustrated with the relative difficulty of tasks once you get to the 'real' game, I started a second character - Kysen Moran's sister, Rai Moran. She's a Ranger/Necro. Seems to work alright, at least when I get the chance to use monstrosities (they can hold enemies away so my range attacks work better). If only you could use two characters at the same time - I have a feeling that W/Mo and R/N would complement each other nicely.

Getting the hang of the economy, now. A successful dye sale and use of the convenient storage system has led to both characters sporting shiny new sets of armour, all matching.

If only I'd managed a sale yesterday - the price of black dye dropped 2K overnight.
And still haven't spotted any of these TC fans...

I may buy Guild Wars tomorrow, as I'm getting broadband any day now.

Bought it and created a character but still too enmeshed in Dark Age of Camelot to have a lot of time to play Guild Wars. If you all see an Elementalist called Doophus Spellfumble - that's me.

I'd look out for you online, but I think we'll be on different servers (well, there is the international district).

Not sure if I will get it now; the capes look absolutely ridiculous. Why join a guild if I look dumb?

If you dont want a cape, either join a guild that does not have a cape - not every guild has one - or do not join a guild

Anyone else still playing this game?
ArenaNet have just announced the first Guild Wars World Championships - they're resetting the Ladder, and over the next three months guilds will be fighting for a place in the Championship finals. Anyone here taking part in this with their guild?
I still don't have a guild - I'd prefer to get to know people before joining, but I don't really get much chance to interact, really, with teams forming for one mission and then never seeing each other again. I've thought about starting my own, but then I hit the same problem - who do I get to join?

Im still playing!
My guild is quite successful now ( 300th best in the world is our best rank so far, we are around 800th at the moment. )
We are going to really try in these championships.

Just thought I'd say: A few days ago they added options to toggle helmets and capes, so if you don't want to wear a cape, you can choose not to show it.

There currently a Halloween theme to GW, with open graves and a Mad King giving out halloween related drinks and a Pumkin Helmet.

The witches brew and absinthe didn't seem to do anything for me.

I drank 12!
The screen turned red, i couldnt walk straight and you say random things without typing them.
It was pretty funny, seeing you character confessing love to another one.
