Thanks Ur-Bane, I feel better now. I was starting to think my belief all this time was crazy, when I noticed how many replies let that one slide.
I was starting to wonder WTF the title did mean afterall?

Theres a thread in the TCTC section called 'Who or what is lord fould bane?'
In there there is many theories ranging from the Illearth Stone to TC.
SRD says he does not know what the bane was, his editor/publisher guy ( i forget his name - Lester? ) made up the title, SRD prefered Lord Fouls Ritual.

As far as I can gather we're looking at September, '07 at the earliest, though November is probably more realistic...

That sounds about right, that's about 3 years exactly since ROTE was released.

*sigh*
New to the forum, but came seeking news of Book 2. Guess I'll join the rest in waiting with anticipation for the release date, which appears to be not for a little while yet. Sad, but it'll give me a chance to re-read Book 1 again...

I asked Romeo about this specifically last weekend, and he said FR is on schedule for Fall 2007.

Heh.. I started reading the bible while waiting for FR... only bad thing is that I'm reading it more to draw out similarities with all the Chonicles rather than to bring myself closer to God... do you think he minds? and if not do you think he minds that I read on the pot

? heh

SickTwistedFreak wrote:Hi. My name's Bill and I just finished Runes tonight. Just a silly question:
Was there ever any mention of runes in the whole book? If SRD did mention them, I must have missed it.
The book mentions it three times, the first time when she first get the stains on her pants from the grass, and the second time is towards the end of the book just at they gett into Revelstone and she take her bath and tries to wash her clothes out. Third was of corse as mentioned where it states that the staff of law does not needs runes.
However I am inclinded to think that the "runes" is the history the stone remembers when aneal is reading the stone.

Can you imagine how much we'll have teared Runes apart by the time FR comes out?
We've pretty much exploited every possible variable; by the time September '07 comes around, we'll be counting comma's and semi-colons.

I reread the series before Runes came out--I've since read Runes twice--haven't decided what I'll do before FR..I doubt if I'll reread the entire series before each book (especially with all the disscusions going on here)--I may reread Runes though.

By fall of 07 I predict:Someone will believe that The Mahdoubt could be Osama Bin Laden, someone will put forth the theory that the figure Linden believed to be Covenant at the end or Runes was actually Nom possesed by a Croyle who is being commanded by the Elohim, and Linden is Berek.
