Yeah, and that's why I think Anthony Hopkins (though shorter than what I pictured) should play Warden. I'd love to see Hopkins and Kingsley together. Also, if you get Jodie Foster playing Min Donner you get a whole reprisal from Silence of the Lambs with Hopkins and Foster in a different (almost swapped) relationship.

Yeah, Vin Diesel could play Angus I suppose (I haven't seen any of his movies though), but really, Angus' character would have to be toned down a bit. It's not necessary for the story to make Angus in the movie as ugly as he is in the book - and I'll repeat my request for Johhny Depp as Nick - he's an awesome actor and has that swashbuckler look. Also, sticking to Franke Potente as Morn...

actually Johnny Depp could play Nick .. he does have that swashbuckling thing going ..

Franke Portente .. what has she been in .. the name sounds familiar but I cant place her .. ??

I like your arguement for Kingsley, Hopkins and Foster .. chemistry is a factor in these things ..

I still think Ben Affleck could do Nick too .. either or .. and you're right Angus doesnt have to be the toad he is described as being in the books ..

Franka Potente: Run, Lola, Run

another problem with Angus, that one has to find a younger actor who resembles him enough to play his son

I just finished the "A Dark and Hungry God Arises" tonight. Wow.
Didn't think I would come to actually feel for Angus. Can't wait to start the next book!!
How about Patrick Swayze for Nick? He has the looks and the build. I know he always plays the good guy, but that would just make it more of a challenge.
Casting Angus is really hard, he has to be a little super-human to play the part where he is a Cyborg - kinda Arnold Schwarzenegger -ish, but that doesn't realy fit, he's too good looking, although I don't envision Angus as ugly, just self neglected.

I reckon the soundtrack should be a variation on Wagner's score. I realise not many viewers would understand that, but still - it's keeping in with SRD's ideas.
I reckon Kevin Spacey would make a great Holt Fasner.

Havent given any thought to the soundtrack - I agree it is important to remain true to the unique philosophical notions that are SRD .. from what little we know of him .. I wager he'd agree with you!

LOL! .. Kevin Spacey as Holt Fasner is an excellent suggestion!!

Thanks Danlo! Uh, it's embarrassing to admit this, but Ron Jeremy is a disgusting porn actor. Picture a fat, hairy angus and you've got Ron. I suppose you can search the net, if ya that interested.

The Gap needs to be filmed as a tv series - maybe 2 seasons.

I'm about to blow your minds....

Angus - Alec Baldwin.......Angus is super Hairy, so is Baldwin. Plus we know Baldwin can pull off a villian.

Baldwin would come off more intelligent than I think Angus is, seeing as how he runs on nothing but instincts until his welding (hence the inherent irony of the welding).
