I've seen a couple of episodes. The show is okay, but I guess it just isn't for me.
What did you, as fans of the show, think of Kim Cattrall's decision not to join her co-stars for a big screen adaptation of the show?
Funny that Cattrall would walk away from what was maybe the biggest hit of her career. Guess she had more important projects to do? Such as...um...
(I don't mean to talk tabloid here, it's just something I heard on a show.)

A long tradition of tv seems to be stars thinking that they are hotter than they are...didn't one of the stars of MASH (the guy who played Col. Blake) pull some sort of weird stunt like that only to have his career go nowhere? And everyone I know thinks that Col. Potter is a way better character, on top of that.

Kim Cattrall was BORN to play Samantha. There has never been more perfect casting. Unfortunately, we all know that her movie career has been....well, not so good. (Remember the ultra stale Valeris in ST:TUC?)
Don't get me wrong - she is SMOKIN' HOT on S&TC, but if she thinks she's gonna have this great movie career now...it ain't happenin'.

Having just finished the second season, so far this seems to be a show that you have to follow along with and watch in sequential order, or you might not "get" some of the stuff that happens. If you're not familiar with the girls and their dating history and their past boyfriends, you'll miss some stuff, as old boyfriends (and references to them) do pop up periodically.
Some episodes are fine as stand alones, though.
