Exactly, I eventually started to warm to him, but suddenly...gone. All over.
As for whether it'd be better continued in films or on tv: As it stands, I haven't seen Serenity, so I struggle to imagine it even working as a film. There's too much depth for that format, surely?

you should download the torrent, the movie worked out great
i prefer the TV show, of course, but i liked how the movie confronted the Reaver problem more

Covenant, Jr., certain characters get short shrift in the movie Serenity, but other characters are given even greater depth, and the plot and dialogue are crackerjack!!!
Highly recommended.
And I agree with the previous burn in Hell sentiment, too.
