Just finished Gilden Fire, in sequence with chapters in TIW.
This view from Korik & the bloodguard's eyes is simply amazing to me. In the forward, SRD describes how he cut it, in part, because it was written from Korik's perspective, not Covenant's or Hile Troy's. I think it is a beautiful bit of writing and also an invaluable glimpse into what makes the Haruchai tick.
The description of the Haruchai warriors invoking thier vow after being awestruck by Revelstone & the old Lords is stirring to say the least.
I know not all have read it, but I would be interested in chewing on it a little......any thoughts?
I really enjoyed the deeper glimpses into the Haruchai past & as previously stateed in this thread, the view of Kevin & how he moved them to invoke the vow....
