I'm actually wearing the Black Watch tartan. I'm Clan Ross, but my formal kilt is Black Watch so that I can wear it anywhere.

Just remember, a kilt counts as "black tie" apparel, so rather than own a tux, I went with a kilt.

Last time i hired a kilt (dont own my own as it wouldnt fit in 6 months) i was refused one, as i wasnt 18.

While not of Latino heritage, since we lived in south east Florida, and most formal functions my parents attended were in Miami proper, my Daddy got away with wearing the guayabera as formal wear for many years.
