That thread has sunk deep down into the depths of the Forum I think. I remember some tempers flaring in that one, but I remember doing some fantastic Covenant hero scene quotes too.

Yes, your 'Thomas Covenant, hero' thread makes its home on page 19 now.

While digging through the forum, I couldn't help but stop and re-read some old favorite threads or visit ones that I missed the first time around. Doing so made me appreciate once again what a treasure-house of great discussion and insight the TC forum is. It's too bad that many good threads languish in the back pages, but I guess every topic runs its course. At least they remain as a resource for everyone.

*For this go around, I ranked the most popular threads in a slightly different manner from previous years. Before, I had automatically disqualified threads that did not originate in the year I was producing stats for. This time I looked at every thread that showed high response in the past year, regardless of the thread's starting date. That is why High Lord Jay's THOOLAH thread is at #1, even though it was begun in 2005.

Also, it bears repeating that in doing these stats I am not in any way passing judgment on the quality of discussions in any forum. This is just an objective exercise (as well as I could make it); purely a numbers game.

That said, here's a subjective comment: it's nice to see newcomers Blackhawk, AjK and deer of the dawn among the Top Ten Posters -- numerical confirmation of the impact they've made on TC discussions at KW over the past year. Not to mention the re-emergence of KW veteran Rocksister. And wayfriend is, as usual, a stalwart presence in this forum.

COMMENT: Compared to previous years, it seems 2009 was one of only modest activity here (and for KW in general).
However, that's no reflection on hue of bone and Blackhawk, both of whom contributed greatly to this forum with their artwork.
The All-Time list also sees wayfriend move up, way up, to #3. No matter what, his dedication to all things TCTC has been unwavering.

Amazing. I haven't been in the Top 10 for the last three years, yet I'm still #1 All-Time. Damn I used to have a lot to say!
