Speaking of Watership Down, I remember the British Meat Marketing Board running a great campaign after the films release. It read:

Watership Down:
You've seen the movie,
You've read the book,
Now eat the cast!

Not sure how much impact it had on sales of rabbit meat, but I remember it well from mny childhood.

That was a goody. The Lost Highway soundtrack is alot like that one too.

I think The Crow was my all time favorite tho. The Cure song on there was awsome. The Batman movies turned out some good songs too.

Well, I feel like I am again copying some from the post above me...

Indiana Jones (all themes!)
Jurassic Park (boom boom in the beginning - love it)
The Star Wars saga (episode IV-VI)
Oh Brother where arth thou (looooooove them aaaall)
BeetleJuice (most of the things Danny Elfman has done is really good!)
GhostBusters
Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves (the real soundtrack, not the Brian Adams sings bit. A fantastic part when they fight in the river - you can hear every blow in a playful way in the music!)
Blazing Saddles (the theme song... Oh, he is really singing his heart out, isnt he?...)
Monty Python and the holy grail has some lovely tunes (Sir Robin's song and the Camelot song).

Musicals:
Oliver! (What a voice that kid has!!! And Fagin is super!)
Bugsy Malone (I think I like all songs best)
South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut

Rock On Ylva Kresh :) ! Here're my faves:

Ghostbusters
The Last of the Mohicans (I think it's the track titled "The Messenger" that is short yet completely addictive)
LOTR (the recent ones by Howard Shore)
Conan the Barbarian (good movie, great music performed so-so)
Conan the Destroyer (OK movie, good music performed well)
Batman (great!) & Batman Returns (good)
Edward Scissorhands (ok, any Tim Burton / Danny Elfman collaboration, really)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (see above note)
Sliver (stinker of a movie, but the music is kickin')
Twin Peaks & Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
The Piano (great movie, Michael Nyman's music is excellent!)
Flash Gordon (guilty pleasure movie for me, w/ excellent soundtrack by Queen :R )

If u like scifi/fantasy/horror genre stuff (and if u r reading this, u probably do), look for a compilation CD called Fantastic Journeys, by Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. It has a little bit of everything: a great version of the Terminator main theme, the children's song from Poltergeist, main themes from Beastmaster, The Boy Who Could Fly, The Rocketeer, Willow, et cetera. It's a great compilation :!:
